This special level is intended for students just beginning to read in their first language (usually English). Most students are in kindergarten or first grade in their weekday schools. This class focuses on spoken Chinese, but also begins to introduce pinyin and some Chinese characters. More structured lessons are introduced along with learning games and cultural activities.
